Fire Hydrant Management
Solutions for City, Municipality, County

Fire Hydrant Management

Be Prepared.
Even the most diligent city, county or municipality can fall behind in properly maintaining fire hydrants and hydrant data.

Unfortunately, the costs to citizens in loss of property or life and to the city or county in lawsuits can be overwhelming.

Local firefighters must have the resources to effectively perform his or her job to protect the lives of all citizens. Inaccurate data or no hydrant data at all leads to improperly maintained fire hydrants and can have disastrous consequences and cause accidents or even loss of life.

Leaking fire hydrants, hydrants that are difficult to locate and hydrants that have either no water flowing to them or not enough pressure to be effectively used, can mean the difference in a minor incident and a tragic event.

Alden’s inventory tool, Collect™, and our inventory and fire hydrant management process will ensure you collect accurate hydrant data, communicate it to the right people and provide effective ongoing management.

• When was the last time hydrants were
properly lubricated to ensure caps, stems and
plugs were working properly?

• When did your personnel last perform a flow test
at the hydrant location?

• Have all sites recently been painted in accordance
with NFPA and local regulations?
